Little Poppets & Co is the largest family owned and operated independent nursery store based in Sevenoaks, Kent. We Stock a huge range of brands including iCandy, Egg, Cybex, Bgaboo, Oyster, Silver Cross, Venicci, Maxi-Cosi, Cosatto, Mamas & Papas, Tutti Bambini and many many more.
Why did we open a store?
Why did we open nursery store? Is a question many of our friends, family and customers ask us,and the answer is quite simple:
My husband and I met whilst working within the nursery industry, over the years we have accumulated a vast knowledge of the industry and products available to pregnant mums. On falling pregnant with our first son we knew from personal experience how much hard work and the time we had to put into finding a pram or pushchair, carrycot or nursery furniture, car seat or travel system that was right for us, our baby, our home and our car. With this in mind we wanted to make the process easier so we decided to open our own nursery store with just three aims:
- to provide our customers with a fantastic range of nursery products
- to ensure competitive pricing across every range in our store and
- to provide a truly personal bespoke service
Once we had made the decision to open a nursery store we needed a location that would offer us the best chances of success. We spoke with many major manufacturers and on their advice we moved from our home county of Kent to Llandudno Wales, that was back in 2012.
After 2 fantastic years in Wales we made the decision to return to Kent, we wanted to be closer to our families. Luckily for us we found the perfect location, a vacant store on St Johns Hill, Sevenoaks, which is where Little Poppets & Co is to this day.
Little Poppets & Co of Sevenoaks opened in 2014 and since then our showroom has continued to grow and now is one of the largest independent nursery stores in the South-East, something we are very proud of. Even though we are an established nursery retailer we remain committed to those original core aims.
Our in-store range of prams, pushchairs, strollers, car seats and nursery furniture from all of the major manufactures is pretty comprehensive and if we don’t have it in stock we have great, working relationships with our suppliers, so next day delivery is something we aim for. We know that our customers are looking for great value and we do our very best ensure our prices are as keen as they can be.
We are proud of the nursery business we have built but we are not resting on our laurels. With the growth of online shopping the retail environment has changed for ever and we have had to adapt, hence this website. Customer service is always at the forefront of everything we do.
